My Journey
In 2013 I began training my American Cocker Spaniel, Deuce in a AKC S.T.A.R puppy class. He was a very timid boy who did not have a lot of life experiences. With the guidance of amazing instructors, Deuce and I continued our training journey, him gaining an abundance of confidence and myself learning to think out of the box. I later became an assistant trainer at a top notch training facility and for a brief time took on the role as Training Director. I bring a wide scope of experience in teaching, motivating, and encouraging people and their dogs. I love dogs and the people who own them, never giving up on those shy, awkward, lacking confidence dogs. I bring to the table an deep realistic understanding of advanced dog training methodologies through a positive, and motivating approach which enables owners to develop a unbreakable bond with their dogs. I saw a need in the tri-county area for a training facility that steers away from the old way thinking of dominance gains respect and control to new scientific positive methods that gain a dogs trust, develops a thinking dog, and a dog that wants to please and succeed. I am a AKC Canine Good Citizen Evaluator, AKC Fit Dog Instructor, Canine Works and Games (C-WAGS) Rally Judge and trial Advocate and have successfully competed with my American Cocker Spaniel in AKC and UKC and CWAGS Obedience, Rally, competitions with multiple titles in obedience and Rally earning a Masters title in AKC Rally.
Training dogs is not just a hobby for me, but a deep desire to have happy, well behaved canine family members, and I look forward to assisting you accomplish this and much more!

I set up A Dogs World in 2020 to offer the people and pets of Clarkston, MI and surrounding areas a more positive method of training. A Dogs World is a fully certified business, all of our trainers regularly consult, attend webinars, take online and in person training classes with nationally known instructors to ensure all of our instructors are up to date on teaching methods. We take your pet’s health and well being as seriously as humanly possible!

A Dogs World believes that owning a pet is an amazing and rewarding experience, but also a responsibility, not a luxury. Our pets are family, and a well trained, well mannered dog can be an active part of our lives and not have to stay home. Training your pet properly will lead you to a greater understanding of the animal, and I firmly believe in the owner-pet relationship being one of mutual understanding and respect. I immerse you fully in the training process, and with this positive reinforcement approach, I find that owners end up learning as much, if not more, than their pets.
